During the training we will be going over a comprehensive slide deck developed by the International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI). The presentation includes roughly 600 slides directly relevant to the electrical work performed here at the Lab and provides an overview of the most important changes in this code cycle.

Due to the volume of the material, the training will be organized into approximately nine sessions, each lasting one to two hours. These sessions will begin in December and continue through January. All classes will be held over Zoom. We plan to record each session so they can be made available on-demand at a later date. Additionally, the IAHJ Joe Mercede and I are certified trainers through the International Code Council (ICC), allowing us to offer CEUs to anyone that is interested.

This training will be open to anyone at the lab who wishes to participate. You may participate in all the sessions or choose individual ones. To get the most out of the sessions, we encourage you to bring a copy of the 2023 NEC codebook or ensure you have access to NFPA LiNK. Having the code in front of you will make it easier to follow along, bookmark important revisions, and identify changes that may impact your work. Sign up here.
