Take a moment to be proud: Berkeley Lab has been singled out among thousands of submissions for a Webby Award nomination that recognizes excellence in website content, structure and navigation, visual design, overall experience, functionality, and interactivity. Known widely as the Webbys, these awards are considered the “Oscars of the internet.”

The Lab’s new website has been selected as a Top 5 nominee in the Government & Association category and is in the running for the top award, the Webby. Winners will be announced April 25.

Two awards are given in each category: Webby Award winners are chosen by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, a global organization of industry experts and technology innovators. The Webby People’s Voice Award is voted on by the public. Both honors are a mark of distinction for web excellence.

Being nominated for a Webby is an honor in and of itself, but there’s a role you can play to make this recognition even sweeter: Go online now and vote for Berkeley Lab in the Webbys People’s Voice Award, a complementary distinction that gives you, your colleagues, friends, and family, an opportunity to show your pride in Berkeley Lab.

Take a moment now to vote, and share the voting link widely among your groups and on social media. Voting is open until April 20, 2023.
