Biosciences Area’s Anne Villacastin, winner of both the 2023 Berkeley Lab Research SLAM and the 2023 Bay Area Research SLAM will represent Berkeley Lab at the inaugural National Lab Research SLAM on Nov. 15.
Gather with colleagues on Nov. 15 to show your support for Anne and for all 17 National Lab finalists. SLAM watch parties will take place in two locations:

You’ll have a chance to vote for the People’s Choice winner, to be selected by the in-person and virtual audience. Winners will be announced following today’s event.
The National Lab Research SLAM is a competition where contestants present flash-talks of their research, highlighting the breadth of basic science and breakthroughs at DOE’s national laboratories and the innovations that advance discovery. The event will occur in front of a live audience and a panel of judges in Washington DC.
