Did you know Fire Prevention Week is observed every year the week of Oct. 9? President Calvin Coolidge proclaimed Fire Prevention Week a national observance in 1925, making it the longest-running public health observance in the United States.

Commemorating the Great Chicago Fire, which began on Oct. 8, 1871, Fire Prevention Week gives members of the community an opportunity to learn and focus on fire safety and prevention.

This year’s campaign strives to educate everyone about the importance of having working smoke alarms in the home. In this webinar you will learn the WHY behind the campaign’s key calls to action: INSTALL, TEST, and REPLACE. Subject matter experts will share new smoke alarm technology updates, best practices, and how to plan and implement a successful FPW campaign using NFPA resources.
