Berkeley Lab welcomed Dr. Fabiola Gianotti, CERN’s Director-General, on Oct. 21. She started her day with Lab leadership and researchers from the Physical Sciences Area, discussing particle physics and CERN’s research strategy before participating in a panel discussion moderated by Associate Lab Director for Physical Sciences Natalie Roe. She also toured the Superconducting Magnet Facility. In the afternoon, Director Gianotti sat down with Lab Director Mike Witherell in the Building 50 auditorium for a wide-ranging chat about her career.
