DOE posted a Request for Application (RFA) that solicits proposals aligned with the Genesis Mission’s national science and technology challenges. This is a broad RFA that covers 21 challenge topics and a combined total of 99 focus areas. Submissions are due April 28, 2026.
If you are interested in responding to this RFA, either as part of a proposal led by Berkeley Lab or as a collaborator on a proposal led by another organization, first fill out this short internal Notice of Intent (NOI) form. This information is required to help the Lab develop its response to this limited submission call. NOI submissions for lead proposals must be submitted by this Friday, March 20, and results will be shared within the following week. The form will be left open only for partner project notifications after that deadline.
There is also an LDAP-protected website that summarizes all relevant information and helps facilitate the application preparation process. This website will continue to be updated throughout the RFA response period.
