The ACFD handcrew is scheduled to start today, Sept. 8, removing vegetation above B77, and then the areas below B70A and B76 later in the month. There availability may be delayed due to ongoing wildfires in Northern California.

The tree removal work continues during the week and on four Saturdays during the month. On two Saturdays, Sept. 20 and 27, Grizzly Gate will be closed to all incoming and outgoing traffic.

Weekday Work:

  • Sept 8 – 9: No vehicular or pedestrian traffic to the loading dock at B77.  
  • Sept 10 – 11: No traffic impacts expected.
  • Sept 15: Single lane traffic control around B74 to B84.
  • Sept 16: Single lane traffic control on Calvin Rd, east of Strawberry Gate.
  • Sept 17 – 23: There will be no traffic impacts. There will be decommission stalls in the U1 parking lot. A charging station will be available. 
  • Sept 23 – 24:  No traffic impacts.  Stalls in the U5 parking lot will be decommissioned.
  • Sept 25-30: Single lane traffic control around B74 to B84B. Many stalls in the U1 parking lot will remain decommissioned by B74F. A charging station will be available.  

Saturday Work:

  • Sept. 6 & 13: Lawrence Rd/Calvin Rd.  The road will be closed. Pedestrian traffic will be allowed, with delays.  
  • Sept. 20 & 27: Centennial Road will have intermittent lane controls with flaggers between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Grizzly Gate will be closed to all incoming and outgoing traffic.
