Berkeley Lab will provide an opportunity to practice the proper response to earthquakes on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 10:17 a.m. by participating in the Great ShakeOut, an annual international drill.

Afterward, join the Lab’s Emergency Management team from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. outside Building 91 to learn about emergency preparedness, meet first responders, and have opportunities to win prizes.

The Lab community is encouraged to take photos of you participating in the “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” or evacuation portions of the drill and post the images to social media using the tag #LBNLShakeOut2024.
