If you can’t attend the on-site gathering, tune in and show your support for Berkeley Lab by joining the live stream at nlresearchslam.org. Both virtual and in-person attendees can cast their votes for the People’s Choice winner, and you can also join the conversation on social media by using #NLSLAM26 or #NationalLabSLAM.
The SLAM is an opportunity for early-career researchers from all 17 DOE National Laboratories to enhance their public speaking skills and foster cross-discipline collaboration and networking opportunities among scientists, policymakers, and the public. Contestants will compete in a showcase of scientific communication and discovery, presenting 3-minute talks on their innovative research to a live audience and a panel of judges in Washington, D.C. Hosted by the House Science and National Labs Caucus and the Senate National Laboratory Caucus, this friendly competition highlights the cutting-edge science happening across DOE’s National Laboratories.
