The Lab is transitioning its Issue and Corrective Action Tracking System (currently in CATS, https://cats.lbl.gov/) to LBNL’s Contractor Assurance Management System (CAMS, https://cams.lbl.com/), the Laboratory’s new Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platform. The CAMS platform is planned to host all major LBNL CAS functions, including Risk, Issues, Policy, Requirements, and Assessments Management.
Going forward, per the schedule below, the Issues Management module within CAMS will replace the historical tracking functionality previously managed in CATS.
- You can keep using CATS normally until September 21.
- Please address any pending issues and extension requests prior to September 21.
- As of September 21:
- No new entries can be submitted in CATS.
- All historical data will remain searchable/accessible for reference.
- No more system notifications from CATS.
- September 21 – October 4: Data Transition Period
- The Institutional Contractor Assurance Office (ICAO) will transition all Open CATS Issues and associated Corrective Actions into CAMS.
- No action is required from you during this transition phase.
- Please disregard any incidental automated or migration notifications sent from CAMS during this window.
- Corrective Actions due during this period may be closed in CAMS starting October 5.
- October 5: CAMS Fully Operational
- Start using CAMS instead of CATS.
- Enter all new Issues and Corrective Actions into CAMS.
- Automated email notifications regarding upcoming and overdue Corrective Actions will resume via CAMS.
Ongoing CAMS training sessions are currently being conducted with CATS superusers. If you require training or guidance, please feel free to reach out to Issues-Management@lbl.gov. Short “How To …..” user guides are also available.
