Bioscience’s Yumary Vasquez, winner of the 2024 Berkeley Lab Research SLAM, will represent Berkeley Lab at the second annual National Lab Research SLAM on March 5.

Gather with colleagues on March 5 to show your support for Yumary and for all 17 National Lab finalists.

The Berkeley Lab Postdoc Association is hosting the official watch party at B50 Auditorium at the main hill site on March 5. Snacks and refreshments will be provided! Doors open at 1:00 p.m., and the event starts at 1:30 p.m. Click here to add the watch party to your calendar.

You’ll have a chance to vote for the People’s Choice winner, to be selected by the in-person and virtual audience. Winners will be announced following the event.

The National Lab Research SLAM is a competition where contestants present flash talks of their research, highlighting the breadth of basic science and breakthroughs at DOE’s national laboratories and the innovations that advance discovery. The event will occur in front of a live audience and a panel of judges in Washington DC.
