Academic Learning Internship and Faculty Training Office (A-LIFT) Spring Workshop Series for Interns and Students at LBNL

Are you a student assistant or intern working at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL)? If yes, you are invited to participate in a series of professional development workshops happening this Spring! The Academic Learning Internship and Faculty Training Office (A-LIFT), formerly known as Workforce Development & Education office (WD&E), will host a series of three professional development workshops on Technical Writing, Fellowship Writing, and Poster Design that will build writing and presentation skills. Workshop #1 

Title: Technical Writing Fundamentals

Students/Interns at LBNL are welcome to join this virtual session on Technical Writing Fundamentals. In this session, the presenter will share practical knowledge and strategies to improve your writing clarity, conciseness, and overall impact. These skills will assist you in effectively communicating complex information now and throughout your career.

Title: Fellowship Writing

Description: 

Students/Interns at LBNL are welcome to join this virtual session on Fellowship Writing. During this session, you will learn about key steps in developing a strong fellowship application. The presenter dives deep into the NSF GRFP as an example. The strategies discussed in this workshop can be applied to a variety of application processes including scholarships, jobs, internships, etc.
