Daliscia Nunn has been a shuttle driver with the Lab’s shuttle vendor since 2009. Daliscia loves to spend time outdoors, whether it’s going to get-togethers with friends, walking with her niece, or going to the farmers’ market when the sun is out.

Q: How long have you been a driver at the Lab?

Daliscia Nunn: I came up as a driver for MV transportation through a contract agreement in 2009. It was really a new opportunity. I was looking at it as like, oh yeah, this would be great. I was all excited because I love it up here.

Q: What do you like most about driving at the Lab?

Daliscia: Well, I just like for one being out and about and I’m a people person. I love to run my mouth. So I love to interact with the passengers and I love the views. It is so beautiful up here.

Q: What would you say are some of the challenges of driving at the Lab?

Daliscia: You have to be alert at all times. It’s a lot of challenges with pedestrians and then the bicyclists and scooters and all of that. I’ve never had a problem with that, but you have to pay attention and be alert at all times. My thing has always been, I have a family, everyone else has a family, so at the end of the day I want to go home to mine and I want them to go home to theirs.

Q: What keeps you coming back as a driver?

Daliscia: I just love what I do. I love being outdoors interacting with other people. Over the years, a lot of the passengers since I’ve been up here know me, so it’s just one of those things you get to know people. Now when they get on my bus they’re just like, oh good morning Daliscia, how was your weekend, and I love that. So it just makes my day.
