Heavy rain and winds have brought tree and large branches down at the Lab’s hill site Tuesday afternoon. As you work at the Lab’s hill site, be aware of potential hazards such as downed trees and power lines, wet roads and pedestrian paths, water intrusion or standing water in buildings, and slick spots near entrances. Report hazards to the Site Operations Center at (510) 486-6999.
In addition to the large tree that fell adjacent to Cyclotron Road (see rainy video below), another tree came down above Building 71 and several large branches came down on Lawrence Road near the Z parking lot.
A large tree was captured on a Lab security video camera falling Tuesday afternoon. Watch the lower left corner as a shuttle drives up Cyclotron Road. The blurry image is caused by the large raindrops falling on the lens and the strong wind shaking the camera.
