The Collaboration Commons beam signing has been extended through Thursday, Jan. 23.

The construction of the Lab’s newest facility, Collaboration Commons, is reaching a significant milestone as preparations begin for the installation of the final structural beam. The new facility will serve as a welcoming place for Lab employees, visitors, and guests to meet for food and beverage services, conferencing, and Operations services such as Security, Human Resources, and the Health Services Clinic.

To celebrate the installation of the final structural beam, all Lab employees and affiliates are invited to participate in a Labwide beam-signing event starting Tuesday, Jan. 14, through Thursday, Jan. 23. Each signature will become a permanent part of the Lab’s history. Add the event to your calendar.

The event will take place in front of the Guest House, where onsite employees and affiliates can stop by any time throughout the week and sign their names directly on the beam. Sharpie markers and signing directions will be provided at the event site. All are encouraged to participate.

For remote workers or those unable to attend in-person, complete this Google form by Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 11:55p PT to have your name added to the beam.
