Are you or your partner pregnant or planning to start a family? In this episode of It’s Elemental, Lab Site Occupational Medical Director Dr. Joseph Toscano provides a comprehensive overview of the Pregnancy and Reproductive Health Hazard Assessment Program. A collaboration between staff members in Health and Safety (H&S), Radiation Protection, and Health Services, this program is designed to evaluate and minimize exposures to chemical, radiation, biological, and other workplace hazards.

Dr. Toscano discusses the program’s purpose and importance, what someone can expect upon enrollment, and the best time to start the process.

For more information on the program or to request an exposure assessment, visit https://ehs.lbl.gov/service/industrial-hygiene/exposure-assessment/#pregnancy or call Health Services at X6266.
